Last day on the sea

First day on the wrist UR 103-05

Thank you Urwerk for making this happen to horology. (And to me BTW.) Such energetic creation- extra-ordinary

Fully electrical, such a peaceful ride. We are having second thoughts now about letting her go.

Very nice catch, my friend. Enjoy. And bring it with you when you come to Paris! [nt]

Thanks Champ! I might end up following the most common advise on this forum beeing:

 By: jlc.thomsen : June 29th, 2020-23:20
Keep them both!
BTW there is no relation between the 2. It just happened on the same day that we did the photoshoot for the boat sale and the UR coming in.

Beautiful...

Hehehe, I was wondering...

...what you were meaning with "saying goodbye to one automotive machine and hello to another"
When I saw the photos then I understood  how true it is smile
Indeed it must be hard to let it go...
I am used to say "choosing is renouncing" but a friend of mine recently refused to obey and told me "I choose to renounce... to choose" and finally got both watches instead of taking one of the two originally targetted smile
What do you choose ? To renounce or not to renounce ? Both are possible...

You are such a philosopher. ;) [nt]

Actually it is true...

 By: Mike H : June 29th, 2020-23:09
This is how a friend of mine recently bought two SD Comex ! He was investigating to get one and there was two great options. He could not choose among the two so he took both. 😂🤣

Ah! An epicurian. ;) [nt]

And this gentleman knows also about haute French cuisine, indeed a real epicurian smile

Indeed! [nt]

Thanks for the advice Mike.

The 2 are not related but we just haven’t used the boat enough to justify the wood maintenance time and harbour fees. In a city that is quite something!
Cheers man!

I can easily understand...

 By: Mike H : July 1st, 2020-15:01
C'est la vie, and you obviously found a nice compensation (even if the two are not related I got it wink).

So true. Some sacrifices are needed here and there so you don’t get stuck in shxxt and can’t move.

C’est la vie indeed.

Nice watch and boat!  I'm surprised your son is allowing you to let go of the boat!

You’re right

 By: jlc.thomsen : June 29th, 2020-23:42
But we had a pact to spend max time on the boat to justify all the work. We just havn’t been able to keep our promises at all. It’s not the time and money as such, but the fact that no one is enjoying the vintage beauty enough on the other end.

Ahh, that's true!

 By: patrick_y : June 30th, 2020-10:51
I know exactly where you're coming from. I have too many watches, almost all go unworn. Even having just two cars is difficult to drive them both! Having a boat that's unused for half the year and seldomly used for the 4-6 months of good weather is difficult to justify.

I prefer the Utwerk, but YMMV. (nt)

Many congratulations on the Urwerk, a true marvel which looks perfectly at home on your wrist.

Can’t comment on the boat, but it looks cool and seems like a great escape if time permits.

Thanks for your nice words Jay.

Now time to tuck her away for the summer break already ( the spaceship I mean). Not really a beach watch is she?

Haha, probably not. [nt]
