Shadow and light

Thought it is time to show an underrated design-beauty from Germany: Junghans. Not only the Bauhaus-watches from this company are eyecatching, also the Meister range is absolutely beautiful. What do you think?

Iโ€™ve always thought

They punched over there weight as far as design goes.

... and its not the only beautiful range they produce

They seem to be the child of a UG and Nomos marriage [nt]

But a company with much history and solid craftmanship. I owned a couple deskclocks from the 20s to 40s from them.

Please continue to inform us about the brand!

Too bad

Anniversary in work. As it's a German company and the owner knows I'm into watches he picked this out himself for me. Love the size and the weight. Hardly feels like I have a watch on. Only bug bear -the glass is not sapphire crystal and i rubbed the glass of a wall a few years ago and the scratches annoy me.Cheers S

Nice one too

Three hands, clean look, love it. only the date disrupts the symmetrical look.

Hi Hulk What a nice piece. did you try the old toothpaste/Brasso treatment on the glass ? [nt]

No. Use both or just one? Wet or dry?

 By: Hulk : March 26th, 2020-08:49
What type of cloth? Thanks S

Either, not together.

 By: winther502 : March 26th, 2020-13:04
I prefer Brasso on a Q-tip. Circular movements on the effected area and around. It may not remove the scratches all together,
but it will dull the appearens. Toothpaste (mint flavor smile is also fine.

BTW: dry. [nt]

Damn! Should've pushed the crown in for the photo. Still pretty, though, huh?

That's it and the reason...

 By: Andimann : March 25th, 2020-22:28
... why I got nearly the same. The only difference: The missing date window to keep the balanced design. But I like yours very much too.
