I am a little stoked...

For the New Year, I changed to an android phone... and it's my first so called smart phone.  I must have been the last user on the planet who had a flip phone without email / internet... so it's a really big change.  One day I hope to master some of the new functions ... the candy store experience ; )

One of the biggest changes is the camera...

Back Camera: CMOS, ISO 100-2000, 12.98 MP (4160 x 3120), with autofocus, digital zoom, geotagging, panorama, HDR, touch focus, face detection, wb settings, ISO settings, exposure compensation, self timer, scene modes, PDAF, secondary rear camera 5 MP

Front Camera: CMOS BSI , 1/4", f/2, 7.99 MP

This morning I took a first wrist shot of my IWC and wanted to share the moment... "it's about the camera not the watch" ; )

It's a beautiful day ; )

Casey

.

It’s the camera AND the watch(es)!

If memory serves me there there were 25 with white dial and and equal number with black dial... I always wear it over the year end ; ) Casey

I’m hoping to see more wristshots from you in ‘21 :-) (nt)

judging by the results so far, it's a good tool for the job. I have to get comfortable holding and pressing the "shutter" with one hand ; ) Casey

Hehe the haptics if you will isn’t like our cameras sadly :-) (nt)

... it's a huge rabbit hole.... I recently saw a Canon Rumor that a new camera might not have a shutter button, control is via a sensor beneath the plastic body... ultimate weather protection.  Times change, slowly for some too fast for others ; )  Casey

Welcome to

the connected world

Hahaha... It's my understanding that Christopher Walken doesn't have a mobile phone...

and he may or may not have a computer... being offline has it's advantages. Most likely I will disable mobile data (wi-fi only) and for the most part remain offline when moving around. Casey

Sweet! Where have you been hiding this beauty?

by the way, very nice watch!

Thanks terbaboom... still learning how to operate ; )

 By: cshimokita : January 5th, 2021-13:12
mis-operate is more the norm at the moment... I am enjoying the phone's onboard camera. Casey

Ow that is a real connoisseurs watch

Congratulations on the new camera! I refused for a long time also. However I think it’s amazing how good phone cameras are these days. I guess mostly due to the computing they have access to. And...as you know, the best camera is the one you have with you.

Happy new year, my friend.

This week I successfully transferred a file using Bluetooth... it was a big deal ; )
