It took me quite a while to locate one, but alas, it is mine. Unassuming, elegant, and sublime, while just reminding the wearer with the whirl of the winding mechanism that its still on the wrist from time to time, the 5711 closes the chapter for my long search on the gentleman's sports watch.

The 15202 is a slow setting poison that will take its due course in time. Hopefully the sting of the nautilus stops at the 5711

Indeed, 15202
is a "slow poison" because the next watch coming to Singapore Boutique in MINE! Will pick it up in mid January wearing my 3712 Nautilus.

Not really much more beautiful than 5712. BUT
it's the original complicated Nautilus and the case is constructed from two pieces just like in 3700.
This one is one of the watches that is anchored into my small collection.

I just had a meeting today, and unlike my other time pieces, it did not disrupt the flow of the meeting (i.e., attract stares), but instead, aided it in a smooth flow.
A gentleman's sports watch, in my own little humble definition therefore, is one that does not put his associates at discomfort/unease, but keeps the conversation in good gait. And the Nautilus does that without missing a beat.

I've just been playing with a new 15202 in an AP Boutique. It was very, very, very nice. But the 5711 keeps calling to me. Why? It's a little more elegant - suits my wrist a tiny bit better - and the dial has a degree of interest that the AP doesn't quite have.
Could I possibly justify both? Very unlikely. Could one of those two become my everyday watch for almost all occasions? Absolutely! (I guess I'd tell myself I need a 'proper' dress watch, although the justification would be flimsy to say the least. I'd have an easier time getting a 'beater' - if feeling extravagant, an AP ROO could scratch that itch...although a Rolex Sub would be much more sensible...)

On the same note, I'm secretly wagering that the polished bracelet joints will weather the scratches just a little bit better than the Royal Oak's 100% brushed links.
Only one way to find out for sure, and that's through my incessant travels. And whenever the Gods of Light are kind, I will snap wrist shots with my humble iPhone.
Alas, my celebrations are not to be long lived, for I fear the call of the 15202 is not too far off. May I have enough strength to hold true until the late stages of 2015!
