Good day everyone.

Question,

Does anyone own a 5147g? I have yet to see one in person and would like to see a good photo of the dial. That blue sounds nice, but the stock photos don't really show the finish well.

Also, is this not a desirable watch? I am wondering, if I see no photos, could it be few of them are sold? Is it the diamond bezel? I know I am not a diamond guy, but I do like blue and it sounds a bit unique.

Any help would be appreciated. I am determined to buy an annual calendar and just am having a difficult time deciding which one to purchase.

I'm not too fond on diamonds (except a 5971 perhaps).


I don't remember seeing a 5147G.

It is probably somewhat rare.

but the 5147G is beautiful. I have seen it in person as I have a friend that wears one. it might be one of the prettiest Pateks I've ever seen.

That makes me feel good. I am uncertain never having seen one in person, but it's nice to know that someone has. If you come across a real photo, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks again

It's very midnight blue. It's more appropriate as an evening watch (I find) and not exactly what I would expect for an every-day watch, which makes it a paradox. An annual calendar is more of an every-day watch complication. Whereas putting diamonds and midnight blue face on this watch makes it an evening watch.

I am so glad I posted this question. Yes, I agree with you, the combination of color and brilliants really does make this watch almost too dressy to wear everyday. I personally plan to wear this watch 3 or 4 days of the week (when the attire is dressy) and I may feel a bit uncomfortable with the diamonds. I am just drawn to that blue, it seems a bit unusual and must be quite stunning in person.

It's definitely a dressier watch.  But a very nice watch.  Very unique, you don't see a lot of them around.  I think I've only seen it once or twice in the stores; never on anyone's wrist. 

So, here is my question to you all. I am buying an Annual Calendar, I wish to buy the correct one, by correct I mean, one that best fits my needs. What would be the best choice. I value opinions.

If I wish to upgrade someday and this one must be sold, what model will hold the best resale value?

Do I get the PP seal?

I am going to wear this watch 4 times per week and don't want anything too flashy

I need one that goes with dress attire

I prefer white gold

Help!
