It is a stunningly beautiful watch. Clearly, there are a great number of Patek watches that cost more, yet for some reason the 5070 seems, at least to my eye, to sit most beautifully on the wrist. I have also noticed that it does not seem to matter if teh wrist is small or large, it still manages to look awesome. Judging by the response from the huge number of people who voted on their top 2 Pateks, others agree.
I think you have one of the most beautiful Pateks made. Congratulations.

Since I have asked that question before, I wil respond with the information.
Yes, the 5070P is no longer in production. It was a one-year piece only.
How many were made? Only Patek know. Estimates vary between 100-250...its in that range. It is stunningly hard to find though one does see the occasional one or two for sale. Very rare watch....that rarity is also a reflection of its popularity. One doesnt see them floating around becase purists love it so much! Its a watch that, to me, stays with people who love watches rather than the speculator. But that does mean it carries one healthy premium
