Hello,everybody.
I think that ref.2526 is one of the most elegant gentleman's watch that Patek has ever produced.
This example is the 1st series which was a much more costly manufacturing endeavor.
It has synthetic beige enamel dial with applied indexes.
The indexes are inlaid in the enamel surface ,the enamel is flared around the holes which hold the central hands and the subsidiary seconds hand.
Thanks for viewing,,
Cheers
I agree with you.
It is the most important that the watch has a perfect dial (.....with no crack, hairline).
The case is also in perfect condition. (never polised, sharp edge)
Rated 98% (total)
...it is Gubelin the retailer.
Thanks Schen.

In fact, I have two of ref.2526s.(The one is this 2526)
And the other's dial is cracked (slightly) during routine servicing . (....glass exchange)
I became a very very......very sad feeling.
However, I adore the Simplicity and Beauty of this watch ,too
The beauty of the enamel dial made me the captive.
The beauty of the Ref.2526 cannot be understoood unless it is owned, i think.
I usually wear the cracked one and I am keeping the perfect ref.2526 to the safe-deposit box of a bank.
I expect that you will wear it in the near future.

What a beautiful series 1 example! A classic and one of the most elegant dress watches ever made IMHO. The enamel dial certainly adds much appeal to it, and I confess first of all it’s the dial that really caught me in love.
Regarding the fragility of the dial, I’d like to share some comments based on my experience. While I don’t wear my 2526 often, I did wear Anniversary Langematik on daily basis. Overall, it should not be a problem to worry about. If well preserved, an enamel dial has all the nice things, e.g. no patina, corrosion, etc. Except that it is sensitive to shock as we know -- which means any enamel dial watch automatically becomes not anti-shock.
So when I wear mine, I am careful not to hit or get hit by something big on my wrist -- I become kind of sensitive too.
But that’s not a problem for me. All I need is to be a little gentle and that’s how I am, I think.
And when doing sports or heavy works I don’t wear any watch anyway. After several years in wearing, I ended up with my Anniversary scratched all over the bezel and case, but the enamel dial is intact.
