A killer. There is something very comforting owning a beautiful, rare and historic watch made by Patek. And to think that is worth less than a simple salmon perpetual Journe is absolutely mind boggling to me.

I thought only the 1st - 2nd series are getting hyped up?
They are quite rare.. but also smaller watches are in fashion now.. the thing alot of ppl don’t understand is, once you actually put the 5970 on the wrist, it wears closer to a 38.. its rather compact despite the 40mm on paper

Any version of the 5970 is terrific. Great dial, great case, and wonderful mix of complications. That is a fantastic picture, too.

A big congratulations on getting 5970P!! For me, 5970 in any metal is about as perfect as a watch can be. Mine says “hello”.
