I had the chance to try on the 6196P...
...and I'm not convinced at all. Not a fan of salmon in general and the black indicies don't do it for me. The 37mm case of the 5196 is just perfect. It's just 1mm more but due to the slim case the watch wears quite large

The 5196P doesn't fit my wrist unfortunately, due to the long straight lugs.
And I wonder if the 6196P will be any better.
As for the salmon dial/black indexes, I think I feel like you: not necessarily a major fan of them.
