Vintage Inspiration for 5524G
I think, more than the Hour Angle, this pocket watch from the Packard collection is actually the inspiration for the Calatrava Pilot Watch. Your comments regarding the matter will be greatly appreciated.

Yes kari. Unfortunately, there are many critics of the 5524 saying that it has zero link from the past. I must admit that i was very much surprised when i saw this photo from Faulkes' book on patek.

Interesting indeed
This was a style that different brands used in the past and this watch you share is showing quite well that there are dials and watches we don't see much nowadays but that are past of the brand's history.
Many are not well known and there are not many exhaustive sources, the Foulkes book is a great source about Patek indeed, maybe the best one.
People often judge from what they know but the range of models Patek has created are not always on the front and there are marvels to discover.
