Recent photoshoot I did with a fellow Patek owner of his 2016 5131R and my 2015 5131R has highlighted the huge differences between the two pieces - care to play spot the difference?

I have 4 differences at least in addition to the actual cities shown and the cloisonné enamel itself.

.....huge differenes in the enamel, but you say excluding enamel.....

So....i can see multiple text differences in the diffreent city wheels as well as city placements.

I don't know if the light was exactly the same between these both shots but I much prefer 2015 colours.

Regarding the cities:

Sao Paolo replaced Rio
Dubai replaced Riyadh
Marshall Islands replaced Noumea
Buenos Aires replaced S. Georgia

Midway was not there in 2015

Moscow has not the same time zone as well as Sidney but I'm not sure here.

However, I don't think it is a deliberate change that Patek have made, colour changes are down to the variances in the process I think.

I did wonder if some of the cloisonné differences represent seasonal variances of vegetation?

2015 version because more vibrant colors !

Could the color changes and other variations just be due to the person making the dial?  They do seem to be almost unique pieces.  Here's another pic of one.

Photo of my G shows how different the color scheme is compared to your R.

Furthermore, different artists might be involved in the three series and the various teams make the differences in dials more pronounced.

Being an owner of the 2016 version, I also like the vivid colour of the enamel in 2015 version more.
