I too like this gem of a world time watch.
The dimensions are just right for me. My opinion.
But the previous 5130g j r and p. Are also very nice. I maybe bias cause i have a 5130g but a worldtime Patek really a cool watch , whatever the metal. Your friend has good taste in watches.

An excellent close-up of the fantastic dial. This photo made me realize how thin the minutes hand becomes at the end ! I never noticed this feature previously.

You're talking to a massive bunch of 5110 fans here
Since I saw the P and R versions (with a preference for the latter for me) this is definitely a watch I would get (and even choose it if considering a 3 hand Calatrava). But I have 2 or 3 just before in my list (together with the 5230 I saw this week).
