I am not an overly emotional person. My wife sometimes gets annoyed that I am rarely (if ever) emotionally moved during a movie. She was kind enough to go see Casino Royale with me when it was in the theatre. Right after the scene where he rolled the AM, I leaned over and whispered to her that she may now actually see me cry during a movie. She was not amused.
Overall handling, steering, and even braking was just not as dialed in.

It's been a while so I can't say I remember every detail. The one I drove was a 6 speed ZF automatic - which I realize does make the car feel very different than the manual. Overall steering feel, didn't load up nor was it very communicative. The traction of the car was not very good, despite the wide rear tires. The car in SPORT mode would often spin its rear tires even on a dry warm day with warm tires. While the car technically wasn't superlative and didn't necessarily appeal to the right side of the brain, it did hit all the high notes on the left side of the brain... The engine sound was among the best (I can't think of anything that beats the V12 Aston Martin engine sound) and the looks of the car were so painfully beautiful that you didn't want to look away.
Thank you, I understand the technical aspects and the right side of the brain

There were better cars during this period, I watched this review by Jayemm and wanted to share with you his observations, which I felt were similar to your own
I have an acquaintance who liked this car so much with his left side of the brain that he bought three or four of them. Never having more than one at the same time. Over ten years. He'd have one, then he would drive it, then wouldn't drive it for a year or two and sold it. Then immediately would itch for one and get another one. And he's had at least three, possibly four of them. Crazy fella. All were DBS coupes, manuals or automatics, and in various shades of grey color. This car really does tug at the heart strings!
