Alfa Romeo 4C.

In the world of small Bombas, there are few ones: The Porsche Cayman, the Audi TT, the Lotus Elise, the Alpine A110 and the... Alfa Romeo 4C.

And the 4C is not the less interesting. With a body which reminds the most beautiful creations from the Sixties.

There are two things which I less love: The digital instrumentation, and in a smaller measure, the 4 cylinders. Imagine this one with a 6 cylinders, it would be fantastic, but unrealistic, given the current rules in terms of ecologic taxes.

Not very sensual, this detail...

But what a character! Light weight, good performances, character, sensuality... Totally charming.

Best,

Nicolas

you know my love for this one

and I contribute my two cents

I much prefer your rims which are very Alfa!

your pics show the total base version (no sports setup, cheap seats, rims, ...)

Yes, this is what I understood.

A friend who had it asks for 6cyl & better suspension.

and probably power steering ;-)

this car has too less weight for more hp, it becomes very light on the front at >260 km/h; race suspension (if he had it) is setup for track not road

That's a true problem of compromises... I know that very well with the Alpine. The S is quite good at that game, and more polyvalent that the normal one, with too supple suspensions on a track.

Aerodynamic problem with the front?

 By: Gelato Monster : January 24th, 2023-23:16

the front is empty - you cannot even open the hood, it is screwed with about 8 bolts to the chassis

inside is only the heating system. total weight with all fluids of my white track version is 890 kg with most weight behind my seat (and me inside)
and no, no aerodynamic problem unless you want to speed up to 300 km/h, but this car is for curves and not for straight racing

AAAah, I wondered why there was no pictures under the front hood. Now I better understand. Yes, 890 is nothing. Even the Alpine is 200 Kilos heavier.

Imagine that one with a 6 Cylinders. I would have probably chosen it.

 By: amanico : January 24th, 2023-23:09

I am honestly not missing a single cyl

 By: penfriend : January 24th, 2023-23:27

5 would be cool, too! :))))

 By: amanico : January 25th, 2023-06:21

Such car doesnt deserve current stupid rule

 By: Gelato Monster : January 24th, 2023-23:09

I totally concur with you.

Rule is for the ugly, the undistinguished and the unexciting.

 By: Gelato Monster : January 24th, 2023-23:24

I couldn't say it better.

 By: amanico : January 25th, 2023-07:28

So nice to see all those pics

... of a sensuous design, especially in this age of me-too SUVs and 'practical' vehicles.

Absolutely, my friend. I ma not fond of all these practical cars. At the point I never owned one!

Sexy little thing from the outside. (Though the big sister 8C coupe is the most beautiful). Enjoy!

 By: LarsG : January 25th, 2023-04:19

Yes, the 8C is a kind of modern 33 Stradale. A legend.

 By: amanico : January 25th, 2023-07:29

I almost like the 8C better, even if it is blasfemous :-) Do you know how many were made of the 8C?

 By: LarsG : January 25th, 2023-08:11

500. From 2007 to 2010.

 By: amanico : January 25th, 2023-08:26

No wonder it is popular (and expensive). Thanks

 By: LarsG : January 25th, 2023-08:37

4 or 5 times more expensive than a 4C, indeed. But it is true that it has twice more cylinders.

 By: amanico : January 25th, 2023-08:39

original msrp was 2 - 2.5 of a 4C

 By: penfriend : January 26th, 2023-08:56
no different story due to relative shortage

Thanks for the precision, my friend.
