. . . Ken!
"Dear Art,
For me the first time to judge and honestly, always nice to read other people's judgments but once you have to pick a picture yourself, not easy! A lot of nice pictures that I enjoyed a lot. But I would like to comment on three Wrist Scans that stand out from the rest for me.
Dr No/Art's black Karree, so poetic . . .

. . . the dynamics of the picture being tilted makes it special. The monochromatic watch on a dramatic background resulted in a very nice wrist shot.
deBalzac/Livius probably represents the best interpretation of the winter slowly coming . . .

. . . to an end. Again I like the background as it is a theme close to my heart being a yachtsman.
But there can be only one winner, and for me that is KIH/Ken!

What a picture! As said by other people, the softness of the porcelain dial and the effect on the bezel combined together result in soberness with a vibrant edge. And the announcement of spring by the (what I suppose it is) Japanese Cherry Blossom just gives that little extra.
Well done all.
Best regards,
Dirk"
I second the motion that all have done well this session. This is the first time my eyes bulged at every submission while scrolling down the screen. Whether aesthetically, technically, or subjectively, this was the best session ever, in my humble opinion.
As for your discernment, Dirk, I have the utmost respect. There
is something very special about Ken's submission. The reflections on the bezel and lugs were so naturally captured that I wondered if Ken had stumbled onto a limited edition Glashütte hitherto unknown. This is the first time in memory that reflections on the case contributed to the allure of the image. We've seen pictures where reflections on the crystal or dial had an effect, but never on the case.
Thanks much for the honorable mention. It was a minor miracle capturing the gull at close distance on the beach, and then flying off into the sunset. I'd no thought of sharing them, but Bim's winter theme brought to mind the coincidental lyrics of "White Bird". Glad you liked it!
