… Our capsule was rescued and now safely aboard carrier bound to land I transmit the Veredict for Best Space Wrist Shot Category:

We received many many wonderful shots and watches from our enthusiastic participants making a very interesting and enjoyable contest.

I paid special attention to those shots which I felt had stronger connection with our Space Theme for this week end.

Not an easy task but I finally decided to award these two Special Medals:

Moon Silver Medal for BMR great shot of his awesome blue dial Moser with the Saturn Rocket as background.

Sun Gold Medal for Thegrailwatch superb Lume Shot of his Panerai rocketing through space bound to the Moon and beyond.

Congrats to winners and to all participants for making another fun and enjoyable edition of our classic WS feature.

Cheers to our Captain for his great hosting job and for letting me the honor of judging this category.

Have a great week ahead friends!

All the best, Abel.

Great verdict, Amigo. Congrats to the winner. [nt]

Best "Onboard" Static Shot

 By: brauner : August 4th, 2019-09:08
Hi all. I would have liked to see some Heuer Sternzeit Reguliert. But not a single. Well doesn't matter, lots of nice space watches and shots here. Third place goes to a l l Speedies (static shots). Pointless to enumerate all (therefore no pic here). The moonwatch is the spacewatch. What else to say? Second place goes to JPoros Ventura V-matic and his NASA family. No one can beat this story. And everyone needs some ventura. First place goes to Franksc7's Accutron Astronaut with tuning fork oscillator. What the hell could be more appropriate? A watch of her time. Congrats!!! Has been a pleasure.

2nd place

1st place

Congrats to Frank. [nt]

Oh, yes! The Accutron had to win something. Absolutely essential to NASA's story. And the wonderful watch-with-a-patch… great story and so appropriate! And all of those Speedy

entries… I thought about it, but knew my simple "Sandwich" would be bested by any number of "limited editions" (though surprisingly few were entered). But a shout out to all who enjoy the charm of the Speedmaster! A fine weekend! FH

Agree with your comments FH!! Guess the Speedy...

Difficult to beat that shot and story behind by Jooros!
All the best

Thanks Brauner!

Mission control: Do you copy?

A fantastic display of some very interesting watches! There have been some pieces that I did not knew of, so this round of wrist scan was a real discovery for me. On a very good third place is fernando's Speedy, that he captured beautifully:

On a very, very good second place is halgedahl's Citizen Campanola, a new discovery to me:

The winning watch is also a watch that I missed in existence. A watch that shows that rocket sience goes back to some basic fundamental mathematics. Albeit an automatic watch that would need manual winding in space: time4fun"s Fortis Terrestris 2 Pi

Thank you all for joining this mission!

SO… Tintin is an attention-grabbing dial, no question. And if one were unfamiliar with that issue then I can well imagine it would capture the imagination! Of my own humble work,

I am simply delighted (honored, as well) that this spoke to our dear Count! And of course, he chose with wisdom the winner in this category! A wonderfully playful entry! So unique! My congratulations to the winner! With great thanks to the Captain for his idea and oversight. Warm regards to all!     FH

Thank you for joining in this weekend...
