And indeed Lange's rose gold watches have a wonderful look and is something you can really look toward.

Thanks for sharing.

Cheers.

Lange's rose gold blend is about perfect.

Now I understand...

Very new to the world of A Lange & Söhne and learning about their work. Seeing the photos of a few Lange watches, now I understand why the Datograph is revered. It just stands out among others, with a very strong personality, and a beautiful movement. Ach! I'm bitten again! smile

Here are mine.

I've been waiting, and wanting, to post some pictures of my Langes, so thanks for the doing this.

As for the future; I have a deposit on a WG Zeitwerk. After that...well...so many watches!

The Zeitwerk is going to be a great addition!............

 By: TonyR : November 10th, 2014-14:39
I see you also have a Dato and a new 1815 chrono, just curious, which one do you prefer? If I had to keep one over the other it would probably be the Datograph.

Honestly, Tony, I don't know. Some days I like the 1815 better; some days the Dato. I do think the 1815 looks a bit more casual, or unobtrusive, which I like. But, as you know, they are both "head of the class" when it comes to chronos.
And yes, the ZW will be a great addition. I am dying with anticipation.

Quite humble in comparison..

Nonetheless I am happy to share. If only my pockets could equal the passion I have for this brand.. but someday!

I had to part with the stealth earlier this year in order to build room for another Lange I am working towards; the Zeitwerk. I hope to add that within the next year. My 30th is coming in a few years and I hope to celebrate that with an original Dato.

TBH, when I was initially drawn to the RL I felt the Pt version was the most eye-catching, however after handling the RG version my opinion was swayed by the warmth of the metal and have not regretted the decision for a second.

Great topic Tony, and I do hope some others are willing to draw back the curtain a little.. although I understand the wishes for privacy.

I really like your sax-o-mat big date in pt, that watch says a lot about the wearer.. and that Lange 1 moonphase, just wonderful!

Best,

Colton

Interesting thoughts on the Richard Lange.........

 By: TonyR : November 10th, 2014-16:40

I would be thrilled to own either version, but I too prefer the watch in rose gold. Its a beautiful piece. In regards to the langematik date, I happen to love wearing the watch. It is just big enough for me to wear and the size makes it a great dress watch. I think its interesting when you look back at old price lists, the last year that the langematik date in platinum was in production the watch retailed for a few thousand less than the stealth and a few thousand more than the Richard Lange but in hindsight i think that the platinum RL ended up being the most popular of the three. Thanks for sharing!

Tony

BTW, don't feel bad.........

 By: TonyR : November 10th, 2014-16:53
Very few people on this earth can experience every single Lange that they would like to own. That's what makes this forum so great, even though we can't have them all we can still admire many of the pieces that we would like to own from other forum members which was the main reason for starting this post!

Tony

Not HUMBLE at all...

That is a very nice collection of watches. Maybe we will be posting pictures of our ZWs at the same time!

Here are mine....

Judging by the picture of your Langes I would say you've been doing quite well without us so far wink.

Thank you for sharing, and hope you enjoy your time at The PuristS. Congratulations on such a diverse collection as well!

Love that honey gold moonphase and WG boutique RL.

Best regards,

Colton

Welcome Tom...............

That is a great well thought out collection of Lange's that you have there. The Zeitwork and Lumen really stick out to me (of course I'd take them all!) Which piece is your favorite?

Hi Tony

 By: HH32 : November 11th, 2014-17:17

The 2 you picked are also my favourite.

Of those two, I wear lumen the most only because it fits my work attire (suits) together with useful complications like date etc. In fact i wear that in almost all my business trips.

ZW is one of the earliest pieces that I got and it remains my top 2.

Thanks

Regards

TOM

Let me please add with my modest 2-piece Lange collection : the 1815 chrono in white gold and the Lange 1 Daymatic in yellow gold.

The back of the 1815 looks great, a real eye catcher.

I collect watches but I find it difficult to understand why buy a number of watches from the same brand.  For me it's a personal decision, I would always only have the one.  I couldn't see myself for instance owning 2 hublots at the same time.  If I wanted another I would sell the first and then go for the other.  obviously if money is no object then a collection is of course is a no brainer.   Your watches are both fantastic and different but some of the watches are not too different.  I would rather have something the same but from a different brand just to mix it up.  I assume it's as they say horses for courses.

Great photos by way.

Cheers
Steve

Thanks for your feedback.

Like you, I am rather a one watch by brand collector as I favor diversity very strongly.

Lange (with Breguet) is the exception to this rule as I have a great admiration for what they are doing and I like their style at lot.

The 1815 chrono and the Daymatic are completely different watches:

- chrono vs calendar

- manual vs automatic

- white vs colored metal

So,diversity is guaranteed with this pair but I would not mind owning other Lange's as well .....

Best,

Gerard

I'm with you and thought the same way but.............

 By: TonyR : November 11th, 2014-16:46
After buying and selling many pieces within all of the major brands over the years I aquired a real understanding of what I really want. Lange's certainly are not the only brand that I like or own I just happen to think that the company currently makes the nicest watches vs any other brand. That opinion makes me want own as many of them as I can!

Agree to every point you make.

My story is very much like yours-lots of watches bought and sold over the years; and now settling on a couple brands for some depth. Lange is at the top.
