White case - black dial : this is a great combination for that watch.

Now, I ma intrigued with this black almost grey dark dial. I would have preferred deep black.

The other variations of this pp calendar are also certainly gorgeous but the steps on the dial and the resulting unsymmetrical look were always a bit "annoying" to me.
Compared to Pateks all black annual 5205 g and pp 5139 calendar this one will still have the overhand as it will be much more legible due to the non-reflecting sapphire and the use of luminous material.
The only other "annoying" bit in this pp is the 24h sub dial.
It makes setting the watch easier but I do not like "intuitive" time display, a second time display next to the central.
The triangle sub dials that are used in the Timezone and the Dato pp are a genius idea of Lange and I do not understand why Lange does not use them as a "trade mark" feature in watches where a second time display is needed.
Therefore I favour Pateks 5146: no 24h sub dial which would suit their 5396 also well.
So to recap: Lange pp calendar, Patek 5205, Patek 5139, Lange Timezone, Dato pp, Patek 5146, Patek 5396 ... I think I did not miss a watch in this context
.
