A picture about different case metals.

Found on the Lange forum.

Platinum, rose gold, yellow gold, white gold and honey gold, from left to right.

If the difference between platinum and white gold is impossible to see, the other colored gold are clear.

It is quite interesting to see that honey gold is just in between rose gold and yellow gold.

Very interesting, I wasn’t aware of honey gold! Apparently produced since 2010, patented by Lange, and harder than platinum...getting curious to see one in the metal (or in the honey)!😉👍 [nt]

The first time I saw it was with the 1815 Moon Phase HG. Special, indeed. [nt]

In the flesh I always find WG and PT distinctly different.

Yes, the platinum is slightly brighter, whiter, in the reality. [nt]

Honey gold is the trickiest one to appreciate, in my opinion

 By: Indigo : July 8th, 2019-06:58
Under artificial light it looks like good ole white gold with a very faint yellowish tone. Under natural light you can see it at its fullest, like the picture Maltie posted.

True. Good observation. [nt]

HG also patinates -- or at least the older HG pieces did...

See this old thread for pics.

I saw it in one of your other answers. A pity,in my opinion. It gets too close to yellow gold. [nt]
