...you can't tell the time looking at the tourbillon. Besides, if the tourbillon is the star, why doesn't Breguet (and others) place it at the top of the dial on all of their watches? And the placement throws off the balance. Placing elements on a watch face is very similar to placing elements on a page. There are few hard and fast rules, but over time, some make more sense than others.

Breguet really are one of the top maisons when it comes to making complicated yet stunningly beautiful watches if not the best, This watch is no exception as it just draws your attention to all the small details that make up the whole.
I am not usually a fan of tourbillons on the dial side but in this case it is great with the fusee and chain. The platinum version looks a little cold to me so the red gold would be my choice.
