That photo of a titanium Ploprof on my wrist was taken at the local Omega boutique . . .

. . . six years ago.  I was taken by it but held off because I knew there was a Railmaster in the works.  When the anniversary Rail was announced a year later, all thought of acquiring a Ploprof vanished.

That said, I still find the titanium versions appealing.  If I were to latch onto a dive watch, it would likely be a pre-Bond Seamaster, not only because the price of admission is more amenable but on account of their compelling aesthetics molded in a more fitting (38 mm) case.

See you in October, hopefully!

Why is there so little on the forum about the Polprof?

Is it just too strange? Unpopular? I know it’s being discontinued. My son just got one of the last titanium ones that Omega had. Looks like a nice watch on his wrist from his photos. Thoughts please? Thank you! ...

There are some Plo Prof lovers, here.

It cannot be a consensual watch, with its bad boy look and strong design. But it has a lot of charm. I much prefer the vintage, which has a lot of soul and which is less big. Here is a Plo Prof Comex I could take in picture at the Omega Museum. Best, Nico...

Iconic :)

Well it’s not exactly an all rounder…

I don’t think it checked boxes. You can’t wear it anywhere but likewise it isn’t the highest depth rating either. When you can wear a lower profile Omega that has a 60,000 foot depth rating and can take a 15,000 gauss hit..it sort of becomes superfluous.....

I love the steel / white face version on mesh...!

But it looks very big on my wrist and honestly it's not very comfort.

Discontinued, again? I remember reading this a couple of years ago and they kept making them. Even when they discontinue it, I'm sure it will be brought back.

I had one...

Found it too bulky and top heavy. Sold it to get a titanium version and then Covid hit...😞 Please let us know how your son likes his. ...

He loves his. Says it’s extremely

comfortable in his wrist and his wrist is smaller than mine. Not huge though by any means. He also has the titanium black dial, black bezel. Yours looks great on you. Enjoy! ...

It is big and thick with a quirky it is iconic and I always wanted one. I got it when the titanium version came about. Comparing to the steel version, it is more than 100grams lighter and best change Omega did was to remove the date. Love mine. ...

I would say 15?

Why so little, Ed? A couple of reasons. First, the price of entry . . .

How often do you wear this Polprof and in/for what occasion? Yours is titanium? So many combinations of it and each gives a different vibe. For example, the black/black resembles most classic dove watch aesthetics. The blue bezel, white dial is a bit of “...

It's more cool to own it and look at it than to wear it. I think these are not a first, or second, or even third Omega for many people. They're so obscure, and in the case of the PloProf, so impractical. That said, I took the plunge in 2011 and got the mo...
