Vintage Omega Tze Char

Not your normal watch post.  In fact hardly a watch post but a little Omega content smile

Took Connie out for tze char dinner with the family at a heartland kopi-tiam or coffee shop.  Tze char is rather common place here. Extremely casual with shorts, tees and sandals... so far from your michelin start restaurant ambience but the food is not necessarily any less delicious.

Just behind Connie is our famous chilli crabs which is best with mun dou or buns (the 6 litle buns on the top right).  To the left of the mun dou is the har cheong gai or chicken friend in prawn paste and the next left dish is pai kuat wong or braised pork ribs somewhat like sweet and sour pork but mich less commercial and much nicer. We did also have our greens with spinach with a light seasoning of oyster sauce and garlic.

If you;re ever in SIngapore, apart from all the fancy restaurants at the Marina Bay Sands and St Regis, you have to try the real local fare.

Hope you guys are having a good weekend.
