I gave the 'new' Ploprof consideration . . .

. . . when it was first introduced about eight years ago. In terms of size and appearance, it works, even on slender wrists like mine. Its aesthetic comfort can be chalked up to its asymmetric case and sloped bezel which 'break up' its profile.
But when I tried on the titanium version several years later, its lightness made it even more wearable, to the point where I seriously considered getting one. The massiveness of the case was offset by its weight. The main reason I held off is that I'd heard from a person at the top of Omega's hierarchy back in 2014 that a revision of the original Rail was in progress.
Since acquiring the Rail in '17, I've pondered whether I'd made the right decision. Had I gone for the titanium Ploprof, I wouldn't have been able to pop for the Rail a year later, and I'd still be in the running for a proper manual-wind Rail when Omega sees fit to finally issue one. Now, I'll have to weigh getting what I really want as there's so much already tied up in the 60th. Would I want to have both the auto 60th and a manual Rail? Or would I have been better off with the Ploprof and kept my powder dry for the real-deal Rail?
