How significant is Dot Over Ninety bezel?

I know this little detail on the bezel is reserved for more special pieces. Was it just historical representation importance or there’s some other reasons? It’s not that difficult to make this bezel Are we expecting a Moonwatch with 321 and 42mm case with...  

If memory serves correctly, DON gave way to DNN . . .

I basically never see it anymore. I'm guessing most people don't really see it either. It's just there. In fact I doubt that most people even know what or how to read the tachy bezel. But it is a fun thing for collectors.

Every new releases of Omega anniversary Speedmasters, this one detail is what most will be looking for...

Similar for me, I can never understand the Rolex dial writings as well but since watch collecting has shifted into investing asset, these are like stamps or misprint ones. If not for the scholars who did the research or write ups, I probably won’t know or... 

It is the little details like the DON bezel that make the difference, mainly for vintage buffs and people "in the know"...
