My opinion is that this was a minimum effort on the part of Omega. Ok, that's not the problem for me. But it could have been a real crowd-pleaser IMHO if they went the route of the Apollo-Soyuz Speedmaster special edition from the late 1970s. In lieu of the Speedmaster badging on the dial replace it with the French flag. Keep everything else on the dial "sterile". Now that would have driven the Speedy fans nutz.

Posts like these drive me crazy. I still need to add a regular speedmaster which I can wear on a nato or suede strap. And this looks so good and different (obviously).
