Don't believe I've ever taken a photo of Snoopy . . .

. . . and have seen only one in the metal at a local Omega boutique.
My take? I can't believe they're trading for double list, and then some. But they are.
Without doubt the most successful limited edition Speedmaster, if success is defined as supply/demand trajectory on a vertical/horizontal scale. None have gone up so far in so little time as the Snoopy.*
Personally? My ancient Melitta coffee grinder pulverizes beans for an exquisite cup at 14 seconds. I often use an Omega to time grinding. But my GS does just as well.
* there's an earlier Snoopy Speedy practically forgotten by the collector community, and easily the most forlorn.

Snoopy question

Hi all: I may have an opportunity to pick up a 45th Anniversary Silvery Snoopy (white dial, "what would you do in 14 seconds?" etc.). Does anyone here have thoughts on that model ... or, better yet, photos?
yes ... I think the astronauts had allotted 14 seconds of fuel burn ...

for a course-correction maneuver needed to bring them back to earth rather than the outer reaches of the solar system. And -- so the legend goes -- the astronauts used a speedy to time the burn. Obviously it worked out; this would have been a pretty macab...

So I take it that your bottom line is that this is a nice watch, but so are all Speedies, and why buy this one at this price?
Good luck finding one at double list now....

It started with a Geneva auction last year which jacked up the price >$20k and had stuck up there since...I don’t understand why but it’s good for owners I guess 😬
Gotcha

The watch I looking at has a price tag attached, so I knew going into this what the market price is. The question for me is whether this high valuation is more absurd than, say, the high valuation of the comparable Rolex model.
They actually trade...

for almost x3... A beauty but too much for my opinion... Cheers
I don’t know.

I had opportunity to buy this when it was launched and passed. I thought the dial little too busy with a cartoon character, not something conforming to Speedmaster tradition. Watch fora were also divided in opinion, many rejected it outright as childish d...
