Omega’s Bronze Gold

Mar 24, 2023,15:03 PM

With the exception of a few dressier watches, I’ve always tended to prefer white metal watches. In recent months, however, I’ve begun once again to appreciate a little color in the case, as well as the feel and extra bit of heft in gold cases.

Fairly recently, I happened upon Omega’s use of bronze gold. Not quite bronze, and not quite 18K gold, but a beautiful hue between the two that has much of the richness and weight of purer gold. And so now I find myself with two pieces in this new metal, and I enjoy both wearing and looking at them!

Hopefully the watches don’t take on too much patina down the road, but I assume that, if they do, there will always be a relatively easy way to return them to their original color and finish.

. . . Dennison cases, although these British beauties . . . . . . are all yellow gold, to the best of my knowledge. Thanks for sharing your current models, Bob! Best, Art ...
