Omega performance
I own an Omega Seamaster Titane Quartz for 21 years now. It was serviced once, some 5 years ago when the titanium bracelet needed replacement (worn after 16 years almost continuous use) and Omega insisted on servicing the watch. It has kept faultlessly time during all those years. This is why you buy an expensive brand: for superior looks and performance.
Your story sounds like a cover-up by the dealer.

The explanation that you were given sounds very 'fishy' to me. An Omega Quartz watch doesnt need the level of regular servicing that a mechanical movement does because there are so few moving parts. A quartz watch should run for many years with only batt...
