Hello Weems! I absolutely agree. There is no sense in buying/wearing a watch without feeling an emotion on it. (except may be for those who buy watches as an investment and leave those...

... watches in their safe till they are ready to sell them).
I love the Speedmaster and feel an strong connection with them. They bring me back the memories of being 20 years old and being seated with my Dad in front of our B&W TV set in the first hours of that July of 1969 silently concentrated in following the images of Armstrong and Aldrin leaving those first foot prints on the Moon.
That seemed unbelievable in those far years! Looked like pure science fiction... But it was real! We were thrilled! The space race was something we followed in those years with much interest and I like to read about it even nowadays.
I also find the Speedy is a beautiful, classic and timless chrono design, and it always surprise me of its great accuracy and reliability even in my elder vintage specimens.
By the other hand, I am very fond of everything connected with the sea, scuba diving and diving history, and I also love diving watches so I´m very fond of the Seamaster line of diving watches and own a nice collection of them, both vintage and modern. I were them in rotation very often. They also catch emotions on me.
I feel fortunate to being attracted by those themes and find enjoyment in it.
Thank you for sharing your feelings! Abel.
