Omega Carre Galbe ref. 3903: a beautiful case
One of my all-time favourite Cassa di Forma designs, the 1950’s Omega Carre Galbe ref 3903. The same case as the Cosmic, it wears large for its time at 33mm. It’s a very rare piece with automatic movement and a sumptuous case, but rare as it is, its super rare with black dial. I was lucky to find a collector here in London who has a lovely example.

. . . as 'Automatic' dial script is absent, and for the taper of the seconds hand as well. If only I could find one with a black textured dial . . . Bullshead-eye? . . . I'd be all over it! Art
It might be rare, but more likely an indication . . .
. . . of a refinished dial. The seconds hand is atypical as well. The truly rare square-cased Omega is the chronometer rated ref 3950 fitted with a cal 343 movement. That one's well worth hunting. Art

Art, sorry to respectfully disagree. There are other rrrrrrrare 30 T2 chronometers out there which many of you haven´t seen yet which are much rarer than these automatics... wait for my book - you will be surprised best Erich
