Sandwich a number of times onto the carpeted bedroom floor from a standing position (therefore, more than 4 feet) and each time there has been absolutely no consequence. Might this be evidence that the greater complexity of the coaxial escapement equates to greater vulnerability than the simpler mechanism in my caliber 1863? Perhaps heresy to suggest—or just plain ignorance! Perhaps Kjell (an actual watchmaker) would care to comment???
So glad, in any event, that the watch is ticking again. One would like to think of a moonwatch as fairly robust, though…. FH

I'm certainly skeptical that it will remain working as before, if it happened once it will undoubtedly occur at another time...
Hope

Stay strong. In mind, let inspect your Speedmaster. Certificated Omega watch center. Many buro’s closed. Is there a possibility to send the watch to an Omega watch center? Insurance? When my Tissot fall, the hands were bend.
