Maybe it is hard to service.
Difficult maybe to find the right Volt battery?

Maybe not expensive, albeit i am disappointed by every watch which do not work.

You can pull the trigger, and let us know what comes trough your path.

If you like it and it makes you smile when you look at it...buy it.

My Accutron Spaceview makes me smile every time I look at it...stare at it is more like it. It might be worth 2 or 3 times what I paid for it but that's not why I have it.

My question below would have a lot do as to whether I buy an older watch

Is it running and keeping good time?

14k gold cap-has a reinforced crystal and screw back-worth about 800 dollars

I don't collect quartz or tuning fork watches . . .

. . . for a few reasons, serviceability - or lack thereof - at the top of the list. Yes, there are electric specialists around (I know of one on the East Coast), and given enough time and money they can be fixed, but invariably for more than they're worth...
