Hi all, Between these two Omega Constellations at similar prices, which would you choose: 1. Omega Arrowhead caliber 354 2. Omega caliber 551 Thanks!...  

Assuming both are of the same metal... I would chose the one with Cal. 551 as it is more appealing to me. I like full rotor movements more than bumpers (except the cal. 352 and 333 which are somewhat special amongst the bumpers). regards erich

BUT you have to factor in condition and since the movement of the 354 bumper here doesn't look very good and the case and dial of the cal. 551 connie look nicer, I would say it's a toss up. As in my post heading - if the arrowhead bumper connie was nicer,... 

In case you choose the 551, make sure the hands' color is matching with the hour markers. If not, the 354 will be the only choice. Best.

The 354 by a hair. I prefer the dial of the 354, but personally love both fairly equally. Hoi is right about the 551 hands.

...or is there a large fingerprint on the ivory dial? Could be on the crystal, but if that is a fingerprint on the 354, then it's only going to get worse with time. Cheers Desmond

I would go for the 354 - you don't see many around and it looks so vintage. However, from a maintenance point of view the other would be a better bet. Make sure the 354 movement is OK. Cheers Andrew
