I believe this is a 28SC, aka cal 370.
It is based on the sub-second cal 28, aka cal 360. It should be stamped 28 SC under the balance.
These movements were originally introduced in 1944. The nickel finish and serial 9,9XX,XXX serial would both date this movement to around this year.
While they look quite similar to the much more common 30mm calibres, in fact they share almost no parts in common.
