How significant is Dot Over Ninety bezel?

Nov 17, 2020,21:20 PM

I know this little detail on the bezel is reserved for more special pieces.

Was it just historical representation importance or there’s some other reasons?

It’s not that difficult to make this bezel smile

Are we expecting a Moonwatch with 321 and 42mm case with lyre lugs, DON bezel like 145.012 next? Or a CK2998 with 321 and DON?

Looks like a lot of opportunities opening up.

Thanks, Art.

Interesting. Although I like the Speedmaster somewhat, much like all the writing on the dial of a Rolex Sub...

I basically never see it anymore. I'm guessing most people don't really see it either. It's just there. In fact I doubt that most people even know what or how to read the tachy bezel. But it is a fun thing for collectors.

Every new releases of Omega anniversary Speedmasters, this one detail is what most will be looking for...

Similar for me, I can never understand the Rolex dial writings as well but since watch collecting has shifted into investing asset, these are like stamps or misprint ones. If not for the scholars who did the research or write ups, I probably won’t know or...

It is the little details like the DON bezel that make the difference, mainly for vintage buffs and people "in the know"...

to the avid enthusiasts they could care less or even notice the difference Raymond. And yes the new Snoopy 3 will also have a DON 😉

That’s a good thing they kept this then...

And only reserved for major anniversaries and not dilute its importance. Looking forward to the 4th DON from the new Snoopy. Did I miss your new surprise incoming announced last week?

Thanks but it is not what you think it is. Won't say more and spoil the surprise but will just say it was unexpected...

As for the other incomings, we all will have to remain patient since COVID-19 is ramping back up so there will be continued delays 🤦‍♂️😢
