I collect different than many others, only vintage Omega Have a variety from 1903-1970's Omega's, Gent watches, pocket watches, timers. Yes have a 2179 but the civilian version ...  

Yours is from one of the later batches, if memory . . .

. . . serves correct, Thomas, without 'US Army' engraving on the back. In my opinion, it's still a military as it would've originally been delivered under contract to the War Department, probably well after cessation of hostilities. Best, Art
