For the pleasure of sharing a recent find...

A watch I had never paid attention before, this Speedmaster Mk II ref 145.014 from late 1969 or beginnings 1970 made me fall in love at first sight.

This is the version equipped with a grey Racing dial. A bit funky indeed but so lovely I feel.

Same movement of the Speedy Moonwatch of that era is happily ticking inside: manual wind 861.

I know this is a favorite of my dear friend Art and hope he will approve.

Hope you’ll like these shots and watch!
Cheers! Abel

Dr No approves . . .

. . . wholeheartedly! Congrats, Abel - your growing Omega collection is curated with notable acumen. Recently found a black Mk II locally, but doubtful I'll make the move. It's a possibility, but too many other projects going on at the moment - pool cues,...

Thank you so much dear Art! I was sure you would approve considering your known fondness for the Mk II even above the classic Moonwatch...

... I can well understand you... I also need to make a break for some long time. This has been a year full of "investments" Lol! Cheers! Abel
