Doubtful, as Omega never made a black sector dial . . .

. . . when the original CK 859 (not to mention CK 2181, but that's a story for another time) was produced.

An homage to Omega's 'Dirty Dozen', though . . .

. . . would be right up my alley.

So apparently the CK859 is discontinued…

… no longer even mentioned on the website here in Germany. I wonder whether they decided to stick with the 2939 pieces that were mentioned on the allegedly misprinted warranty cards… 🧐 Cheers Henrik ...

I had coffee with a representative of the Omega Boutique in the DC area earlier this week.

I asked her about that — it was news to her. She said they have not received any of these watches for display or inventory; special order only with a 50% deposit. But, to the point, no indication that the watches were already being phased out.

I was discussed in other online places…

… and there’s a statement by Omega saying it’s out of production: Scource: omegaforums ...

It is mentioned on the website though, are you sure?

What would the number 2939 refer to do you think H?

The original

A bit beaten dial, but blued hands seem to be perfect! Really close to the CK that one. 1935 apparently. ...

Wow!!!

I just spoke with the manager of the LA Omega boutique . . .

. . . and he was unaware of CK 859 discontinuance. The gold version for the Beijing Olympics will be discontinued, but not the steel model that has captured the imagination of so many. Art

I still see it on Omega's site...

I was told by the online boutique it is still in production

So what is the truth? There are many conflicting sources regarding the discontinuation of this piece

It's still in production, but the gold version . . .

. . . has been discontinued. At least, that's the update received from the local boutique a few weeks ago. Art
