Does anyone know

if it’s possible to have the crystal (sapphire) in an Omega polished as my PO Seamaster 2500 has a small blemish (it’s a beater) which bugs me. If a cheap easy fix then I’d do it…if not might sell it at some point.

It looks like a scratch on the AR coating.

You can either remove the entire coating or get a new crystal.

Thanks BFP…

I thought the definition of "Beater" is a watch whose flaws don't bug you

I suggest you have a raffle to donate it to another WPS patron, and get a more completely beat-up beater with no hope of improvement! 😀 Cazalea

Yes…I’m aware of the irony…believe me

it plagues me every day…in fact I thought of buying a brand new ceramic “beater” because it won’t scratch…that’s how bad my watch OCD is. 🫣😬😖

I think you have to fix it.

If it is a situation where you can't look past (or through) the flaw, replace the crystal. It can still be a beater watch. Just one with a new crystal.
