That's a joke, Omega wants and aims to be seen as Rolex and co.
The longer the list, the more sought after the watch.
I don't think they'll release that manual shock proof caliber at a reasonable price, because no need to technical improvements when the one and only working strategy is to create hype and never-ending lists.

I thought this ultra-light and tough Aqua Terra was a great idea that came at, obviously, an unworkable price. I'd love to see them adapt it into a more reasonable form.

I was keen on the Ultra Light a year ago, sure I was not about to pay the price but I did ask a local AD if it could be seen in the flesh, they told me the watch is available for 100% deposit.
