37.5 or 39mm?

The reason I bought it because of the size of the case and a rare ref (?) , the movement is not very important to me (there is another one out there and I won't compete too hard on that ;( )
By comparing to my 2544 and 2545 (39mm cases), it looks like this one is a 39mm case. Let's look at these pics.

The movement itself is 30mm then I add up the thickness of the rim around (about 4,5mm or 5mm each side), it must be 39mm. Don't you think ?

Hi Steve, This is a R 17.8 SC supposedly from an early run as it still has the nickel finish. Nickel SC 17.8 movements are not often seen... most are the sub sec versions in rose gold guilt. kind regards Erich
