. . . I'll wear mine tomorrow, Abel - it's been a while since Flighty's taken off ;-) . . .

no vintage

A new Omega is almost my watch. A watch friend is only into vintage watches. So disappoint him with new watches. His old stuff is a museum.

Old or new, Omega . . .

I wil tell. Sure, i wil buy a vintage watch in the future. I am to new into watches, to go vintage. I am a rookie. And when i go vintage, i think i want an universal geneva, or a Longines.

Very interesting watch you have there. Always amazing to see how big some collections are.

The indices are really special. Thanks for sharing!

It's an obscure reference . . .

 By: Dr No : January 10th, 2020-13:39
. . . and not most collector's radar, but wholly original and a spectacular performer after a recent service. Art

What is the reference?

I love the way you paired the strap to it as well. It looks so right in the blazing CA sun!

It’s a ref 2667 . . .

 By: Dr No : January 10th, 2020-17:47
. . . powered by a cal 420 movement. Case measures 32.5 mm, and takes a 16 mm strap. Tiny by today’s standards, but can’t argue with a watch that gains maybe 2 seconds per day. Art

Goes to show you...

Pictures can be deceiving... I would have guessed 37mm. Thanks for the info, Art, and hope you have a wonderful weekend!

I checked the 2667 just now . . .

 By: Dr No : January 11th, 2020-08:46
. . . and pleasantly surprised to see it keeping essentially perfect time over three days. So as a reward it gets another day or two on my wrist. The Flightmaster can wait its turn. Art

Guess which movie we’ll be seeing . . .

There's a revival of . . .

 By: Dr No : January 11th, 2020-08:44
. . . An American In Paris with Gene Kelly and Leslie Caron playing next weekend. Never seen it on a movie screen - the final dance sequence in a theater has gotta be something else!

That is a real beauty, Art! [nt]

As far as I can tell, it's the first implementation of lyre lugs . . .

 By: Dr No : January 10th, 2020-22:50
. . . by Omega, preceding the Speedy by a decade. Art

Interesting to know that! [nt]

Enjoy the weekend!

Thanks, D. One of the least costly additions to my collection . . .

 By: Dr No : January 10th, 2020-22:47
. . . and one of the more enjoyable, too. Best, Art
