. . . agrees.

Fantastic vintage piece, and many congrats!

How old is this?

It's a '69 pre-moon 145.022 . . .

 By: Dr No : March 13th, 2022-17:26
. . . delivered September 1970.

Wow!

Actually

I figured you had a speedmaster. Looks good !

Well, I bought an Ed White a year ago . . .

. . . but still waiting for delivery. I've owned two Mk II Speedmasters in the past but both are long gone. This is the first Pro in my possession. Planning on visiting my watchmaker Friday to assess its performance; might not wear it 'til then.

Huge congratulations 👏 👏👏…

It looks out of this world 😬

I was talking to a collector that specializes in '69s . . .

 By: Dr No : March 13th, 2022-18:08
. . . who was impressed by its condition. As well he should, seeing as how it had been literally found in a drawer after four decades. The original owner was Fern Pacquet, a horse chariot driver (or would it be jockey?) who was awarded the Speedmaster for...

Fragile?! . . .

 By: Dr No : March 13th, 2022-18:12
. . . now you tell me . . .

I will be afraid to handle a 52-year old precious watch…

 By: Clueless_Collector : March 13th, 2022-18:21
Afraid the lume on indices, hands will fall off, and will be so sad…

It has a few issues so not quite a museum piece . . .

 By: Dr No : March 13th, 2022-18:27
. . . but even if it were a perfect specimen I'd still wear it. I might not go horse racing with it, but that's another story.

I could be waiting for Ed a long time. Beckett . . .

 By: Dr No : March 13th, 2022-18:13
. . . might've written a play about it.

:)

A great find!

Congratulations!

My nephew Serj in San Diego did all the leg work on this one . . .

 By: Dr No : March 13th, 2022-21:59

Thanks, Dom! . . .

 By: Dr No : March 13th, 2022-21:55
. . . hoping to have it on my wrist within a few months . . .

Can't wear it yet as there are some issues that need to be resolved . . .

 By: Dr No : March 13th, 2022-21:53
. . . and my hunch is it requires a thorough tear-down from my Omega-certified watchmaker even though the seller claimed his watchmaker serviced it. Warmest, Art

Grazi, Mark! . . .

. . . my first Pro, and possibly not my last. I'm thinking about one of the 3861s, too. Art

Congratulations!
