letting go of my ‘57 speedmaster 60th anniversary, after trying on the new 3861 hesalite, does this seem like a sensible idea? Would appreciate your kind thoughts? Thank you

co-axial is in deed much robust & highly anti-magnetic...which is a plus now-a-days !

btw...is there such a thing we could call ''sensible'' in our hobby ;-) Best, mahesh.,

Keep the ‘57 and buy the new 3861.

If the 3861 doesn’t click, you will still have the ‘57. Personally, I think any speedmaster with the 1861 will become collectable as time goes by.

Why should a watch go? I let go a watch, because i want to make my father happy. I dislike that watch and he had no watch, so a good reason for me. But you want to let a speedmaster go. That is a different league for me. It is a speedmaster. An emblem of ...

Personally, I'm a one-Speedy kinda guy . . .

...try to revisit the reasons for getting a 60th. I’d never get to afford a CK2915, so this for me is the next best thing. The 38.5mm case with guardless pushers was a big bonus for my small wrist. I never wore it with the bracelet, and have switched thro...

Tough question. Simply because they’re 2 different speedies..

If you love your ‘57 and is a daily, you might regret selling it. If it sits in a box most days, you probably won’t. One thing to take note here is wearability.. the ‘57 comes with microadjust if i’m not mistaken and the new one doesn’t. Not sure if that ...

killer watch although the OEM bracelet is a little too polished and sparkly, hence I almost always switch to calf leather and nato. However the 3871 proportions are very confusing to me, when I placed it on my wrists its wore like a 40mm and so I felt bad...

I would lean towards the new release

The bracelet makes it a great adaptation, it was 25 years that the bracelet was somehow off. Having tried it, I can confirm it is the best of modern fit and vintage taper/look. I cannot really speak about the new movement but it looks like a welcome evolu...
