By the way, could you tell if a dial is switched from another watch by looking at it and check the case# and caliber#?One of mine has the Swiss Made and the other has T Swiss Made T.Both of them originally have the lume on the markers amd hands though they've been re-painted.

Very nice.

A nice pair. I particularly like the cal 490. Models with the sub-seconds, full rotor cal 490 or 491 seem to be fairly uncommon. I guess the fashion was moving towards sweep seconds models at this time.

very nice!

Is a fatal beauty! Congratulations, mrsnak. Aaah, dont shout it too loud that your first Omega is from 64, I know a shark here who will want to eat it! Al the best, Nicolas

LOL, I knew that when I posted the dates

It's also very coincidental that the Seamaster is the same year as Dr. No's, with similar markers

That photo is a little misleading.

Lumed hands ?

I wonder if the hands of the De Ville should have some lume instead of black paint (to match the markers)? Can you show us the bottom of the dial, is it Swiss Made or Swiss Made T ? Best regards. Hoi

Here's the dial of the De Ville

Thanks for the pic.

You need some lume on the hands, I guess.

Not sure how I will progress on this

I'm going to wait to see how they look in person. Lume is not a big issue for me on watches of this vintage.

Very attractive pair...

i already have a seamaster deville from 1964 so yours is safe although mine is a 560 not a 550. Graham

Whew! I was worried...

 By: mrsnak : November 23rd, 2010-14:46
Thanks Graham, I usually don't like to announce incomings as to not jinx the transaction ;-), but these were too nice not share.

Now I know what's . . .
