I really felt in love with the NTTD seamaster but wanted to be sure it was not just a one night love... After a second and then a third visit to my favorite dealer I knew it was not just a James Bond trick, as a JB fan. So, on my wrist since and no regret...
Nicolas, do you think it works well with different straps (tropical rubber, leather)? I have a small doubt.
I guess you have seen the trilogy Seamaster too? Which do you like more and why?
A tropic will do the job. Leather? a rugged calf may work, too. As for the Trilogy Seamaster, if you had to choose between this one and the Trilogy, I would go for the Trilogy. The only little thing is that I find it a bit too thick.
BUT this is mainly because I am so used to the original Saamaster 300, CK 2913, whose dimensions pare just perfect. ...

What are your reasons for the teilogy other than this is certainly the purists choice? What i really like with the NTTD is the brown hue of the dial. The trilogy looks a bit more greyish which is not as spectacular. Whats your opinion on this?

Owned this and it was a bitter sweet experience but wearing the watch and driving the car felt great indeed ...
Yup....first the nearest dealership is 200 miles each way....
Besides the beautiful look, exterior and interior, plus a wonderful V12 engine, the battery drains fast and don't last even a week without frequent driving. The Garmin GPS sometime don't flip up, and "check engine" light love to show up....just too diffic...

Even if the trilogy is a nice set it seemed fake to me in the way it was just a copy of a vintage watch. The NTTD is a modern watch with vintage touch . Plus the titanium and the slimmer case are heavy in my decision
I tried this on at an AD recently and was smitten.
It was VERY hard to walk out without it! I love the titanium case, no-date, curved crystal, and the unapologetic dial.
