Genève roll call! Let's see the . . .

 By: Dr No : October 3rd, 2020-17:19
. . . other line Omega's famous for. Only one in my collection . . . . . . a ca '69 ref 137.001, the only reference fitted with the chronometer-rated cal 602 movement. This one's an exceptionally strong performer, and on my wrist currently. Art ...

When I acquired it nine years ago, it was timed on machine . . .

 By: Dr No : October 3rd, 2020-17:54
. . . at +/- 0 seconds per day. On my wrist, a gain of a second, maximum. There were no marks on the inner caseback, so it probably had never been serviced. Had it serviced for the first time three years ago. After a day on my wrist or dresser, it's gaine...

Impressive [nt]

By: Chronometer (aka yacomino) : October 3rd, 2020-18:22

Rather more modest than yours...

 By: Tiggermelad : October 3rd, 2020-22:45
...but also from 1969 when I bought it new. This was my first “real” watch and has been all over the world with me. ...

Any chance of re-posting the photo, Tigger? . . .

 By: Dr No : October 4th, 2020-02:12
. . . it's not showing up within your original post. (If you're unable to post, please let me know via private message.) Thanks, Art

Not sure what happened to it

 By: Tiggermelad : October 4th, 2020-02:45
...

That's an uncommon reference - I've only seen a few . . .

 By: Dr No : October 4th, 2020-07:03
. . . over the years. And uncommonly handsome without a date aperture. Cal 560? Art

Ah, I meant cal 550 and not 560 . . .

 By: Dr No : October 4th, 2020-15:52
. . . which represent non-date and date 17-jewel automatics respectively. Cal 552 would be even better. Another uncommon version would be the manual winding Seamaster Genève . . . . . . with a similar case. Art ...

Not chronometers but very much a Geneve

 By: nomadgiles : October 4th, 2020-03:02
I often forget this name against the more prominent ‘Dynamic’. Your Geneve above is indeed a lovely piece! Hope all is well with you, Art. Best wishes from Scotland. ...

Ovoid Genève! And like Jacob's coat, they came . . .

 By: Dr No : October 4th, 2020-08:38
. . . in many colors. All's well here, Giles - staying home mostly, out once or twice weekly to shoot pool with my pals. And not really missing the hubbub of pre-covid days . . . especially when driving our now freely moving So Cal freeways. Art

That was my aim all along, Nicolas! . . .

 By: Dr No : October 4th, 2020-07:53
. . . glad to know our efforts are appreciated ;-) . . .

Beautiful watch there, Art.

 By: winther502 : October 4th, 2020-07:15
I got one early on,- they were quite cheap 10-15 years ago. Since I'm mostly a Connie kind of guy, when it comes to Omega dress, I used this 61' 14703 SC with a 362 mov. to infect my nephew. Worked like a charm ...

Ah, a scripted Genève! . . .

 By: Dr No : October 4th, 2020-07:51
. . . I was hoping one would pop up from our community. Genève's can be thought of as Constellations with ordinary production movements - similar execution with the exception of bulletins. Collectors are drawn to Connies for aesthetic reasons, certainly, ...

Here's mine

 By: jml_watches : October 4th, 2020-14:34
I should wear it more Cheers JML ...

Late '60s cal 601, j? . . .

 By: Dr No : October 4th, 2020-15:58
. . . what I would call a 'gateway Omega'. Art

From '66

 By: jml_watches : October 4th, 2020-16:03
Not sure about much else as I inherited it. Other than its going nowhere Cheers JML

It would be worthwhile sharing an image of the inner caseback . . .

 By: Dr No : October 4th, 2020-16:10
. . . when you have it serviced next. My hunch is it's one of the last cases Dennison made for the British Omega agency. Art

Hello dear Art! Another roll call I answer with some delay...

 By: Subexplorer : October 5th, 2020-13:50
... nowadays working from home takes many hours a day leaving less time to devote to more pleasurable activities like visiting my favorite place in Internet here. A beautiful example of Geneve you show with a chronometre movement showing a truly impressiv...

I'm fond of scripted Genèves, too, Abel. Here's another . . .

 By: Dr No : October 5th, 2020-15:18
. . . similar to your. Not mine, nor can I remember where I got the photo from. It struck as an exceptionally handsome example of a steel cased model, and one that could easily find a home in my collection. Art ...

great idea of a Genève roll call, art!

 By: Seeks : October 7th, 2020-09:44
Many beauties shown here today! You show a very good condition one as the first photo. Best regards

Not only is it in mint condition externally, Seeks . . .

 By: Dr No : October 8th, 2020-09:02
. . . it's also one of the better performers in my collection.
