A curious Omega Speedmaster I saw yesterday. The Teutonic.

I saw it a few times on pictures, never in the real. What do you think of this one? Not really my taste, but it is always interesting to see a watch you never saw before. Best, Nicolas ...

Feels like Porsche Design…

Prefer Soccer Timer style period to this but there is a stylistic connection to the AT Golf.

Some design eventually

. . . mainly in Germany. I'm partial to cushion case Speedies, particularly the Mk II, and wouldn't mind latching onto a Mk V under the right circumstances. I've seen several in the metal, and tried one on once. The version in your photo is the one to hav...

Oh very nice

is Omega Speedmaster Teutonic , Cal 861 this watch is manual winding, very nice, Unfortunately, the most common problem with this model was that the numbers on its bezel faded

But that can be solved, no?

if it could be an interesting job,

first option would be to find a new one, second option would be to remove the bezel and finish cleaning it with a mild solvent, and sandblast it with very soft cal 220 aluminum oxide because it looks like it has a sandblast-type finish, redraw the numbers...

Same for me.

But I dont like the button/button case side. Look old and droopy.

I am with you on that one.

It's really very unusual Speedy indeed...

And may worth more than a million at auction perhaps, if ownership is traced back to a famous Hollywood actor or celebrity!

Who knows... ;)

Not uninteresting

If you are a big Speedy collector, it makes sense to own such a piece as it represents the design exploration between end 70s and first half 80s. I like the steel treatment, the design a little less so. Here are some more variants (not even talking about ...
