pull out piece button/screw to release old stem
the stem will also need to be shortened (snip thread down) so when crown is fitted and pushed home that it does not touch the case.
get more than one stem if you snip too much off the thread

just looking at the date
before you do anything-the date should of changed before 02.00 -get the date moved on to 23rd fully in window and let down the mainspring before you take the stem out
