Not considering the price, both are nice, but I prefer the small seconds, the minute and hour hands are balanced, the other one, it seem the hour hand is too short. [nt]

Omega Seamaster 1948 Small and Central Seconds in Platinum.

 By: amanico : March 22nd, 2019-16:41
While I was browsing the Omega Website searching for some novelties, I suddenly noticed that Omega released two versions of the sublime Seamaster 1948 in platinum. I covered some months ago the steel versions of the Seamaster 1948 Small and Central Second...

+1000 from me

Both stunning but price šŸ¤•

Oh I didnā€™t even notice that!

You are absolutely correct on this point, A!

Beautiful Omegaā€™s...

why o why didnā€™t they release these models in steel.

They do! [nt]

Gosh that was quick...,

Youā€™re up late in Paris !

Still with the T-rex hour hand, I see...

And the price is incredibly aspirational for what you get. This or a Laurent Ferrier... ...

+1! . . .

. . . and, as they say, a picture's worth a thousand words ;-) . . .

Sub-seconds is nice...

...but don't take any pages out of VC's book. Please leave the 'PT950' on the back of the case where it belongs.

If only the lugs were slimmer. [nt]

These a very nice with my preference being for the small subsidiary seconds, but he wide lugs and healthy price will allow prevent me the pain of adding another to the wish list. Thanks for sharing. Very nice watches indeed.

Thank you Nicolas. Historical fidelity is important.

I suppose to my eyes slightly more refined lugs would be very appealing. Still, these are both wonderfully charming pieces.

Well... This one based on their "beefy lug" series...

So it's true to the original... Best Jev ...

A pure beauty! [nt]

The central second in platinium and rose gold is just crazy. And the straps are so nice too But I find them a bit pricey to be honest... Kev

I love them!

I think they have done a pretty good job in paying tribute to the original. ...

Spectacular 2576! . . .

 By: Dr No : April 1st, 2019-13:08
. . . one of the most compelling Omega references ever. What I wouldn't give to find one in black ;-) . . .

That is some praise!

 By: claes_t : April 3rd, 2019-10:28
I wouldnā€™t mind one in black either

I've seen one black chronometer 2576 . .

 By: Dr No : April 3rd, 2019-10:58
. . . so I know they exist, but how many were made? God only knows . . .

Just cringing of the fact they're elongated the second hand on this central second version...

 By: JFT : April 1st, 2019-02:31
Like, come on... Isn't this look nicer? Oh well.... Not that I would be able to purchase one in the near future. If I do, though, I'll shorten and reshape the hands a little... šŸ¤£ Happy 1st April everyone! Best Jev ...

I mean, they should've shorten the second hand on that central second version... What do you think? [nt]

 By: JFT : April 1st, 2019-02:35
Like this one... For example... ( source: www.omegaenthusiast.com ) ...

Yep... They got their priorities flipped... šŸ¤£

 By: JFT : April 1st, 2019-02:41
